Stupid Human Things

It never ceases to puzzle me as to why, when there is a tornado heading straight for them, some people’s first instinct is to break out the camera and start recording the thing instead of running for cover. The midwest had a rash of tornadoes on Tuesday so of course cue a million videos of people aiming a camera at an oncoming tornado instead of getting out of nature’s way. When nature is having a hissy fit, it’s best to steer clear. Storm chasers puzzle me too. Millions of videos on social media and youtube showing people willingly going in to storms. I get some storm chasers, the professional ones with all the science equipment, who do this to study storms but the ones who do it just for the thrill and flirt with injury or death are totally lacking in brain cells.
