Well Played

Spider-Man Homecoming has got to be the best Spider-Man movie so far. Tom Holland nails it as Peter Parker/Spider-Man who, after his exciting adventure with The Avengers, must try to get back to being a normal teenager. Of course, the young man wants to prove himself as a hero and cannot resist when more adventure crops up causing the occasional intervention of mentor Tony Stark/Iron Man. Michael Keaton is awesome as the story’s main villain, Vulture, who is intent on obtaining alien weapons.

Thankfully, the powers that be did not feel the need to rehash an origin story. A great mix of story with an actual plot, character development, and action laced with some nice special effects that are not too over the top. Columbia Pictures made a wise decision to partner with Marvel Studios who has a good track record of churning out quality superhero films. A definite must watch for any Spidey fan and a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. An 8.5 out of 10.
