A Bit Redundant

Warning: I’m going to get political for just one sec here.

Over the past few months I have been noticing a trend of whenever someone says “black lives matter”, some people shoot back at these people saying “all lives matter”. Isn’t that basically what the first party is basically saying in a nutshell? Let’s all take off our rose colored glasses for a minute and really look at what is going on. Despite all of the fighting for equal rights and a few baby steps in the right direction over the past few decades, if you’re not white and male you are treated with less respect. I am not saying 100%, but the majority of the time. Sadly, we still have some segments of the population unwilling to move into an age of tolerance for anyone different than themselves and sometimes it gets violent, as we have been seeing lately, and those being discriminated against or outright attacked are unsurprisingly tired of the crap. The “black lives matter” movement isn’t saying they are better than anyone else or they should get special treatment but saying that they are not less than anyone else and should be treated as equals. They really are saying “all lives matter”. Yes there are extremists out there, but all groups have them. This is the 21st century, we should be above all of this. We are all one race, the human race, no matter what your skin color, gender, or national origin.
