Super Saturday

Caught a matinee showing of “Captain America: Civil War” today, and I must say I quite enjoyed it. If you like the other “Captain America” movies, you will definitely like this one. As this is a fresh new release, I will not get into anything that could be considered spoilers. I like the way these “Captain America” movies not only give high quality action sequences but also gives viewers things to think about during the films. “Captain America: Civil War” shows not only the black and the white but the gray areas of issues that can readily translate into the real world and how some grapple with these issues. It also shows you how things can get royally screwed up when government tries to get into everything. Here, the government wants to put restrictions on the activities of the Avengers, feeling that they are much too destructive. Iron Man sees their point and wants to go along with it while Captain America does not which creates the rift between the two. there’s some other stuff too but you have to watch. Some great new characters are also introduced in this film. If you are a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you will not be disappointed. Comic book style humor, great action sequences, good attention to all characters involved which is hard to do in film and tv, good music score, good acting, and a well thought out plot that keeps the MCU moving along until they finally reach the climactic Infinity War. DC, this is how you do it! 9 out of 10, highly recommended.
