Forgiveness is a Foreign Land

Forgive and forget. Easy for so many people to say those words. Easier said than done though in my book. There are some things, sure, that can be forgiven. Little things are no problem to forgive like forgetting an appointment or mispronouncing a name or some other little petty incident. But when a wrong has been committed to you that is just so bad it is mind boggling, how could you ever possibly forgive? Especially if the person doing the wrong never made the attempt to put things right? And don’t give me that “God” stuff because it is common knowledge that I’m a firmly rooted agnostic. No, sorry, some things just cannot be swept under a carpet.
