Realizing You’re Old

You know you’re getting old when you start hearing songs from your youth on "classic rock" and oldies radio stations. I used to think the oldies stations would always only play stuff from the 1950s through 1970s but now they are playing the stuff that I grew up with in the ’80s. The likes of Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis, Phil Collins, Culture Club, etc. are now being played alongside the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Rolling Stones, etc. on the very stations I remember my mother tuning in to as she drove my sister and myself to and from school. Never thought I would see a day where my music would be played on the same frequency as the music of my parents. It’s scary, and what’s worse is that the ’90s are not too far behind and the stuff I rocked to in high school will also soon be considered "oldies".
